Refer a Club, Earn 3 Months Free

Every club gets a permanent referral code. When a club you refer signs up and stays subscribed, your club earns 3 months of free service. No cap on how many referrals you can make.

Before You Begin

  • You must be a club admin (officer with admin permissions) to see the Referrals dashboard.
  • Your club's referral code is generated automatically — there is nothing to set up.

Finding Your Referral Code

  1. Sign in and open your Admin Dashboard.
  2. Under the Financial group, click the Referrals card.
  3. Your 8-character code (for example, ABC123XY) is shown at the top of the page along with a ready-to-share signup link.

Sharing Your Code

The Referrals dashboard gives you four sharing options:

  • Copy link — copies the full signup URL (with your code already filled in) to your clipboard.
  • Facebook — opens Facebook's share dialog prefilled with your link.
  • LinkedIn — opens LinkedIn's share dialog prefilled with your link.
  • Email — opens your default email program with a draft message containing your link.

You can also share your 8-character code directly (in a newsletter, presentation, or printed material). New clubs paste it into the Referral code field on the signup page.

Codes never expire

Your code is permanent. Anything printed today will still work years from now, even if you cancel and reactivate.

How Credit Is Earned

Both your club AND the referred club must pass a commitment threshold before any credit is applied.

The threshold is met by one of:

  • 1 paid yearly invoice, or
  • 1 paid semi-annual invoice, or
  • 3 paid monthly invoices (roughly 90 days)
Plan Threshold reached after
Yearly First payment
Semi-Annual First payment
Monthly Third payment

Three possible states for a referral

Status Meaning
Signed up A club used your code at signup. Nothing has been paid yet.
Qualified The referred club has crossed the threshold. Your credit is pending.
Credit applied Both clubs have crossed the threshold. 3 months of credit has been added to your account.

Banked credits

If the referred club qualifies before your own club has crossed the threshold (for example, you are still on a free trial), your credit is banked. It will be released automatically the moment your club crosses the threshold itself — you don't have to do anything.

Where Your Credit Appears

  • The Referrals dashboard lists every referral and its current status.
  • The Subscription and Billing page (Subscription from the Financial group) shows a Referral Credits panel summarizing total credit applied and your next renewal date.
  • Each time a credit is applied you'll receive an email notification.

Credits are applied as a Stripe customer balance — at your next renewal, Stripe deducts the credit from the invoice automatically. You do not need to enter a coupon code.

Rules and Limits

  • No cap. Refer as many clubs as you like. A club that refers 12 paying clubs earns 36 months free.
  • No self-referrals. Codes from your own club cannot be used at your own signup. We also block referrals where the same admin email or the same payment card is used on both sides.
  • No clawback. If a referred club cancels later, you keep the credit. Cancellations do not block banked credit from being released.
  • One referral per signup. A new club enters one referral code at signup. Codes cannot be added later.

Troubleshooting

The signup form didn't accept my code. Codes are exactly 8 characters, letters and numbers, case-insensitive. Double-check for confusable characters (the letter O vs. the digit 0). Codes from clubs that have been deleted are also no longer valid.

A club signed up with my code but I don't see credit yet. Credit applies only after BOTH clubs cross the commitment threshold. Open the Referrals dashboard — the referral's status tells you which side still needs to pay.

I see "Qualified" but no credit on my account. Your club has not yet crossed the threshold. As soon as your own subscription qualifies, banked credit is released automatically (usually within minutes of your qualifying payment).

Can I use someone's referral code at signup if I have an existing club? No. Referral codes are entered only when creating a new club account. Existing clubs cannot apply someone else's code retroactively.

Can I change my referral code? No. Codes are permanent and tied to your club for life. This protects any links and printed material you've already shared.
