District Sponsorship¶
Some Toastmasters districts sponsor clubs by covering their first billing period on The Club Schedule. If your district participates, you can activate your club with a sponsor code during signup — no credit card required and no 45-day trial countdown.
How It Works¶
- Your district provides a sponsor code (you may receive it from a district officer, in training materials, or at a district event).
- During club signup, enter the sponsor code in the Sponsor Code field.
- If the code is valid, your club is activated immediately on a free sponsored period — no trial period, no payment needed upfront.
- Your club has full access to every feature for the sponsored period, exactly like a paid subscription. Your district chooses the plan — Yearly (12 months) or Semi-Annual (6 months) — and your confirmation email shows which one applies.
What Happens After the Sponsored Period¶
When the sponsored period ends, your subscription automatically renews at the standard rate for your plan — Yearly ($109/year) or Semi-Annual ($59/6 months). To make sure there's no interruption:
- Add a payment method before your sponsored period is up. Go to Billing in your dashboard and add a credit or debit card.
- Starting 30 days before renewal, you'll see a dashboard banner reminding you to add a card if one isn't on file.
- Your club will also receive email reminders at 30, 14, and 7 days before renewal, plus a mid-year check-in.
If no payment method is on file when the sponsored period ends, your subscription will not renew and your club will lose access until a card is added and the subscription is restarted.
Entering a Sponsor Code During Signup¶
- Go to the signup page and create your club admin account.
- On the plan selection page, look for the Sponsor Code field.
- Enter the code exactly as provided by your district (codes are not case-sensitive).
- Click Apply. If the code is valid, the page will confirm your sponsorship and skip the payment step.
- Complete signup. You'll receive a confirmation email specific to your sponsorship.
Note
Sponsor codes have a limited number of redemptions. If you receive an error, contact your district officer — the code may have reached its limit.
Frequently Asked Questions¶
Can I use a sponsor code on an existing club? No. Sponsor codes can only be applied during initial signup. If your club already has an account, contact your district officer for guidance.
Do I need a credit card to use a sponsor code? No. The sponsor code covers your entire first sponsored period. You will need to add a payment method before the sponsored period ends to continue your subscription. What plan am I on with a sponsor code? You're on the plan your district chose — Yearly or Semi-Annual — at no cost for the first sponsored period. After the sponsored period, your club renews at that plan's standard rate (Yearly $109/year or Semi-Annual $59/6 months). Your confirmation email shows which plan applies.
Can I enter both a referral code and a sponsor code at signup? No. You may use either a referral code or a sponsor code, but not both. The signup form will ask you to remove one before continuing. This is because sponsor codes represent a district investment, not a member-to-member referral.
Can my sponsored club refer other clubs? Yes. Your club can share its own referral link and earn credit when the clubs you refer make qualifying payments. The sponsorship only affects how your club was onboarded — it does not prevent you from referring others.
What if I don't add a card before renewal? Your subscription will not auto-renew. Your club will lose access to scheduling and other features until you add a payment method and reactivate. Your club data is preserved — nothing is deleted.
Can I switch to a different plan during my sponsored period? No. Sponsored clubs stay on the plan the district chose for the duration of the sponsored period. After it ends, you can switch to Monthly, Semi-Annual, or Yearly if you prefer.
