Pathways Progress Tracking¶
Track your Toastmasters Pathways progress including role completions, presentations, and speech projects -- all integrated with your club schedule.
Note: Pathways Progress Tracking is available exclusively for Toastmasters clubs. If your club is a different organization type, you will not see this feature.
What is Pathways Progress Tracking?¶
Pathways Progress Tracking helps you monitor your journey through Toastmasters Pathways levels. It tracks:
- Role completions -- Automatically tracked when you perform roles at club meetings
- Presentation requirements -- Track presentations from the Better Speaker Series and other programs
- Speech projects -- Log your Icebreaker, evaluation speeches, and other speech projects
- Level progress -- See how close you are to completing each Pathways level
The feature integrates with your club schedule, so when you serve as Evaluator, Timer, or other meeting roles, those completions are automatically credited toward your current Pathways level.
Accessing My Pathways¶
- Log in to The Club Schedule
- Click My Pathways in the navigation menu
Your My Pathways dashboard shows:
- Your active path enrollments -- Each path you're currently working through
- Progress bars -- Visual indicators showing role and presentation completion
- Current level -- Which level you're on for each path
- Enroll in a Path button -- Start tracking a new path
Enrolling in a Path¶
- From My Pathways, click Enroll in a Path
- Select the path you want to track (e.g., Dynamic Leadership, Presentation Mastery)
- Click Enroll in Selected Path
You can be enrolled in multiple paths simultaneously. This is helpful if you're working on more than one path at the same time.
Understanding the Level Detail Page¶
Click View Details on any enrolled path to see your detailed progress for that level. The Level Detail page has three main sections:
Role Requirements¶
Lists each role you need to complete for the current level:
- Check mark -- Shows completed roles
- Progress count -- Shows how many times you've completed each role (e.g., "2/3 completed")
- Completion dates -- When each role was completed
- "Manual" badge -- Indicates roles that must be recorded manually (see below)
- "OR" groups -- Some requirements let you choose between different roles (e.g., "Complete ANY ONE: Evaluator or General Evaluator")
Presentation Requirements¶
For paths that require presentations (like Better Speaker Series modules), this section tracks:
- Which presentation series are required
- How many presentations you've completed from each series
- Record Presentation button to log a new presentation
Speech Projects¶
Track your speech projects (Icebreaker, Evaluation and Feedback, etc.) for this level. Each speech shows:
- Project name -- The official Pathways project name
- Speech title -- Your title for the speech
- Requested time -- How long your speech should be
- Status -- Delivered date, scheduled meeting, or "Not yet scheduled"
Adding Speech Projects¶
- From your Level Detail page, click Add Speech
- Enter the Project Name (e.g., "Icebreaker", "Evaluation and Feedback")
- Optionally add a Speech Title (your title for the speech)
- Enter the Requested Time (e.g., "5-7 minutes")
- Click Add Speech Project
Linking a Speech to a Meeting¶
If you're scheduled as a Speaker for an upcoming meeting, you can link your speech project to that meeting. This helps the Toastmaster see your speech details when planning the meeting.
- When adding or editing a speech project, find the Link to Meeting dropdown
- Select the meeting date where you'll deliver this speech
- The dropdown only shows meetings where you're assigned as a Speaker
Recording a Completed Speech¶
After you've delivered a speech:
- Click Edit on the speech project
- Enter the Date Delivered
- Click Save Changes
Speeches with a delivery date are highlighted in green to show they're complete.
How Role Completions Are Tracked¶
Role completions come from three sources:
Automatic¶
When you complete a meeting role through The Club Schedule (Evaluator, Timer, Grammarian, etc.), it's automatically credited to your current Pathways level. You don't need to do anything -- the system tracks it for you.
Manual¶
Some roles aren't tracked through regular meetings and must be recorded manually. These are marked with a yellow "Manual" badge. Examples include:
- Outside Evaluator (evaluating at another club)
- Mentor
- Specialized roles performed outside your club
To record a manual role completion:
- Click Record next to the role requirement
- Enter the Completion Date
- Optionally add Notes describing what you did
- Click Record Completion
Transfer¶
Officers can transfer role history from before you started using The Club Schedule. These appear with a "transfer" badge. See the officer section below for details.
Advancing to the Next Level¶
When you've completed all requirements for your current level, a green Advance to Level X button appears at the top of the Level Detail page.
- Verify all requirements show as complete
- Click the Advance to Level X button
- You'll move to the next level and start tracking those requirements
Important: Advancing levels in The Club Schedule is for tracking purposes only. You must still complete the official Pathways requirements in Base Camp and submit your level completion through Toastmasters International.
Unenrolling from a Path¶
If you need to stop tracking a path:
- Go to the Level Detail page for that path
- Click the red Unenroll button
- Confirm your choice
Your progress is saved, so if you re-enroll in the path later, you can continue where you left off.
Speech Details on Schedules¶
When viewing a published schedule, club officers and the assigned Toastmaster of the Week see a microphone icon on each meeting. Clicking it shows speech details for that meeting:
- Speaker name
- Speech title
- Requested time (e.g., "5-7 minutes")
- Path and level (e.g., "Dynamic Leadership - Level 2")
This helps the Toastmaster plan meeting timing and know what evaluators should focus on.
For Club Officers¶
Officers have additional capabilities for managing Pathways progress across all members.
Pathways Admin Dashboard¶
Officers see a Member Dashboard button on their My Pathways page. The admin dashboard shows:
- All club members with Pathways enrollments
- Each member's current level and progress
- "Ready to Advance" indicators when members complete a level
- Links to view detailed progress for any member
Enrolling a Member¶
Officers can enroll members in paths on their behalf:
- From My Pathways or the Admin Dashboard, click Enroll a Member
- Select the member from the dropdown
- Select the path to enroll them in
- Click Enroll Member
Viewing and Managing Member Progress¶
Officers can view any member's Level Detail page to:
- See their complete progress
- Add speech projects for members
- Delete speech projects if needed
- Transfer historical role completions
Transferring Role History¶
For members who have prior Pathways progress from before joining The Club Schedule, officers can transfer that history:
- View the member's Level Detail page
- Click Transfer History
- Enter the role completions with dates
- These appear with a "transfer" badge
Tips¶
- Link speeches to meetings -- This helps the Toastmaster know what you're presenting
- Check your progress regularly -- View your Level Detail page to track requirements
- Record manual roles promptly -- Don't forget to log roles done outside regular meetings
- Update speech dates -- Mark speeches as delivered after you complete them
- Use the "OR" options -- If a requirement offers choices, pick the role that fits your schedule
Troubleshooting¶
I don't see My Pathways in the menu
