Deleting Your Account

Permanently delete your account and remove your personal information from The Club Schedule.

Before You Begin

  • You must be logged in to your account.
  • Consider exporting your data before deleting -- once deleted, your information cannot be recovered.
  • If you hold officer roles in any club, coordinate with fellow officers to transfer responsibilities before deleting your account.
  • This action only affects your account on The Club Schedule. It does not affect your Toastmasters International membership or any other services.

How to Delete Your Account

  1. Log in to The Club Schedule.
  2. Go to Profile > Privacy & Data.
  3. Click Delete My Account.
  4. Read the warning carefully. The page lists exactly what will happen.
  5. Type DELETE (in capital letters) in the confirmation box.
  6. Click Delete My Account Permanently.

After confirming, you will be logged out and redirected to the login page with a confirmation message.

What Happens When You Delete Your Account

Immediately

  • Your personal information is anonymized -- your name, email, phone number, address, and Toastmasters member number are replaced with placeholder values.
  • Your account is deactivated -- you can no longer log in.
  • All your club memberships are deactivated -- you are removed from all clubs.
  • All your active sessions are invalidated -- if you were logged in on other devices, those sessions end immediately.

What Is Preserved

  • Your historical role assignments remain in club records but are anonymized. They show "Deleted User" instead of your name. This is necessary so clubs can maintain accurate meeting records.
  • The assignment data itself (which role, which meeting) is kept for club record-keeping purposes, but it is no longer linked to your identity.

What Is Removed

  • Your name, email address, and all contact information
  • Your phone number and mailing address
  • Your Toastmasters member number
  • Your personal URL
  • Your login credentials

Is Deletion Reversible?

No. Account deletion is permanent. Your personal information is replaced with anonymous placeholders and cannot be recovered. If you want to use The Club Schedule again in the future, you would need to create a new account and be re-invited to your club(s).

Tips

  • Export first. Always download your data before deleting. Go to Profile > Privacy & Data > Download My Data (JSON) to get a complete copy. The deletion confirmation page also includes a direct link to download your data.
  • Notify your club officers. Let them know you are leaving so they can reassign any roles you were scheduled for and adjust future schedules.
  • Transfer officer roles. If you are a club officer, have another officer assign your role to someone else before you delete your account. The system will not let you delete your account if you are the last remaining officer -- another officer must be designated first.
  • Check upcoming assignments. If you have accepted assignments for upcoming meetings, let your VP Education know so they can find replacements.

Troubleshooting

I typed DELETE but the button is still grayed out

  • Make sure you typed DELETE in all capital letters, with no spaces before or after.
  • The confirmation is case-sensitive -- "delete" or "Delete" will not work.

I got an error about typing DELETE to confirm

  • If you clicked the delete button without typing the confirmation, you will see an error message. Type DELETE in the text box and try again.

I deleted my account but want it back

  • Unfortunately, account deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed. You would need to create a new account and have a club officer invite you to rejoin.

I'm the last officer and can't delete my account

  • At least one active officer must remain in each club. Ask another member to accept an officer role first, then you can proceed with deletion.

I still receive emails after deleting

  • Your email was removed from the system during deletion. If you are receiving emails, they may be queued messages that were sent before your deletion was processed. Contact support@theclubschedule.com if emails continue.
